Brigit of Biddy Tarot Talks About Soul Meditations

Today I chatted with Brigit Esselmont in Melbourne, Australia. Brigit is the founder of Biddy Tarot and was an important mentor for me regarding reading tarot professionally for others. She gave me the push and the confidence to “come out” as a reader, by her own example and with her enthusiastic, heart-centered encouragement.

Enjoy this interview! All the links to the things we chat about are below the video screen. (The screen freezes very briefly at a few points so just let it keep running!)

  1. Hi Shelly,
Loved the interview with Brigit! She has also been an inspiration for me in prompting my online tarot reading business. I would like to say also that you have been a wonderful catalyst for me too! Although I have been reading a long time, it is early days for my online business but I can’t wait to get more involved in the ‘tarot scene’ and rub shoulders with professional readers and learn more. If you have any advice on how to raise the awareness of my site, I would be glad to hear it. Thank you so much to both you and Brigit!!!

  2. Very inspiring and so true! What I see and experience with this beautiful worldwide Tarot community really is a revival of the ancient wisdom, and – more importantly – this wisdom made availabe to our modern lives. Tarot can be a soul-guide for everybody and hopefully this vibrant new web-community will help change the sometimes still “dark image” Tarot has. When I recently went online with my webpage irenelauretti.com, which is not purely about Tarot, but also about Energy Healing (which in reality goes hand in hand with the Tarot) and about my books, it was funny to see how some acquaintances, when they saw the Tarot, actually turned against me, considering me a “witch” doing some magicals spells. There was really not much use in convincing them otherwise, since for some, Tarot is and remains “witchcraft”, but I believe our wonderful Tarot community is slowly but steadily changing that image towards that which Tarot really is: Powerful images of our Soul and gates to our True Self!
Well done, Shelley and Brigit (of whom I have been a fan for quite a while also!)

    • Oh my… a ‘witch’?! There’s a lot of work to be done in shifting the perception of Tarot, huh? That said, I tend to focus on those people who already value the tool or who are open-minded enough to try it out, rather than trying to convert those who are dead against it. A much more pleasant use of energy 🙂

  3. Brigit and Shelley, two wonderful, modern tarot women, both inspiring and full of joy and new ideas always. It has been a weel of fortune to engage in the lovely world wide tarot community, and we all agree that Brigit is the Great. The Soul Meditations is marvellous work!!

    Lots of thanks from
    Sigrun
